Billing and refunds
How CVRLanding subscriptions, AI credits, renewals, cancellations and refunds work. Paddle is the merchant of record for our subscriptions and any credit top-ups.
This document is a draft
We wrote it for the CVRLanding preview build. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel for the countries we serve, and it will change before launch. It is not legal advice.

Who bills you
Paddle is the merchant of record for CVRLanding subscriptions and any credit top-ups. Paddle sells the subscription to you, takes the payment, calculates and collects sales tax, and issues invoices and receipts. Your card or bank statement may show Paddle rather than CVRLanding.
When you check out, Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase, and our terms of service apply to your use of CVRLanding. Paddle is not the payment provider for orders on your own landing pages; those are between you and your customers.
Billing belongs to each workspace. Every workspace has its own plan, and only its owner can change billing.

If this table differs from the pricing page or checkout, the pricing page and checkout apply. Before you pay, we show the price, the billing period, how credits expire and how to cancel. The trial lets you build and preview pages but not publish them.
Depending on where you are, Paddle adds taxes such as VAT, GST or sales tax at checkout. Business customers can enter a tax ID there, which may change the tax applied.
Renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period, currently monthly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Paddle charges the payment method saved for the subscription.
AI credits
Each paid plan includes a grant of AI credits for every billing period. Credits are charged from the actual cost of each AI call, as explained in AI credits; 1,000,000 credits is not 1,000,000 model tokens.
A period’s grant is added only after Paddle confirms the payment for it, and never twice for the same payment.
Monthly grants expire at the end of the billing period and do not roll over.
Trial credits are a one-time grant that expires when the trial ends.
If credit top-ups are offered, each top-up is a separate grant with its own validity period, shown before you buy.
Credits are spent from the grant that expires first.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refunded when they expire.
When credits run out, AI actions pause until a new grant arrives or you upgrade. You can still view and export your data, and published pages are not deleted or taken offline because credits reached zero; their hosting follows your plan.
Changing plans
You can upgrade or downgrade from Credits & billing in the app. Paddle calculates any proration for the rest of the current billing period.
Credit grants follow the plan you pay for: a grant changes only after the payment for it is confirmed, and credits you already hold keep their own expiry dates. Limits such as seats, published pages and custom domains follow the new plan.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time in the Paddle customer portal, which opens from Credits & billing. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and that period’s credits stay usable until they expire.
After the plan ends, you can still sign in to view and export your data under the retention rules in the data processing terms. Pages that are still published then follow our hosting rules for workspaces without a paid plan, which will be stated here before launch.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it and we email the workspace owner. You can update your payment method in the Paddle customer portal at any time.
Your plan stays active during a grace period while the payment is retried. The length of the grace period is part of our billing configuration and will be stated here before launch.
If payment still fails when the grace period ends, the subscription may be paused or moved to a lower plan, and paid features stop until payment succeeds. Your data is kept under our retention rules, and published pages follow the hosting rules of the plan your workspace is on. Pages are never deleted just because credits reach zero.
Refunds
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at support@cvrlanding.com with the email address on the subscription and the date of the charge. Refunds are processed through Paddle.
We will consider a refund, in particular for:
duplicate charges for the same period;
charges made after a cancellation took effect;
periods when the service was materially unavailable because of a problem on our side.
Other requests are decided case by case. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under consumer law, such as the right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU and UK have; Paddle’s buyer terms explain how it applies to purchases made through Paddle.
Credits after a refund or chargeback
When a payment is refunded or charged back, the unused credits granted for that payment are removed. The credit ledger records this as a new, compensating entry; past entries are never edited or deleted, so the ledger always shows what happened. Your balance never goes below zero.
Repeated chargebacks, or chargebacks used to keep credits that were already spent, may lead to the workspace being suspended.
Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank; most billing problems are faster to fix directly. Because Paddle is the seller, Paddle handles chargebacks with your bank and may ask us for information about your account and your use of the service.
Price changes
We may change prices or credit grants in the plan catalog. For an existing subscription, we will email the workspace owner before a new price applies, and the new price takes effect only from a renewal after that notice. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before that renewal.
Invoices and records
Paddle issues an invoice or receipt for each payment. You can download invoices and update billing details in the Paddle customer portal, opened from Credits & billing. Credits & billing also shows your plan, every credit grant and every charge against your credits.

For billing questions, write to support@cvrlanding.com from the email address on your account. Paddle’s buyer terms explain how to contact Paddle directly about a payment.
